CONSULTANT IN ORTHODONTICS

Dr Mumtaj Nisah Abd Rahim obtained her basic dental qualification from University of Malaya in 2003 and pursued specialist training in Orthodontics at King’s College London in 2005. She graduated with MSc (London) MFDS (Eng) and M Orth (Edin) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh in 2008, and continued with a fellowship in Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodonticsat the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK in 2015.

She served as a Consultant in Orthodontics with the Ministry of Defence and is currently a part-time senior lecturer training orthodontic postgraduates at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is also a visiting Consultant Orthodontist for Combined Cleft and Craniofacial Centre all around the country.

Her main areas of interest are Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodontics and invisible cosmetic orthodontic braces including the Win Lingual System, Incognito and Invisalign Aligners. She is proficient in all types of orthodontic braces especially self-ligating appliances such as the Damon and Insignia System.

Dr. Mumtaj is registered as a Specialist Orthodontist both in Malaysia and in the United Kingdom.
